Combining clothing and photography, the project focuses on three symbolic architectural landmarks in Ljubljana: Plečnik’s National and University Library building, the murals and graffiti-covered Metelkova autonomous district and the renovated building of the former Rog factory. Each representing a different historical layer of the city, they reflect how Ljubljana has developed through overlapping periods and changing identities. As the relationship between residents and their city constantly shifts, people blend into their surroundings, while transformations create friction that reshapes both the urban landscape and the identity. Camouflage, or the blending of clothing with a specific location, visualises this tension and explores how individuals become part of their environment while simultaneously resisting it. Exploring the relationship between city and body, past and present, and tradition and modernity, the project reveals how a city's memory lives on through those who inhabit it.
